Puligny Montrachet, Les Nosroyes,

Textbook, graceful, pin-point precision Puligny. Very beautiful, floral fruit on the nose, a hint of lemon blossom and Mirabelle. The palate is silky and fine, with a fresh bead of citrus fruit and savoury grip sewing the soft yellow fruits together. Amazingly refined and long for a villages. Exquisite. A very fine Puligny village vineyard towards the top of the slope on the north side of the village, just underneath Les Perrieres. Here there is a predominance of limestone. Les Nosroyes is a well-drained vineyard that typically yields finely etched but ripe fruited wines with a chalky finish. Aged in 20% new oak for 12 months followed by 6 months in tank.
