Puligny-Montrachet, Les Nosroyes, 2023
Utterly Puligny in the seamless texture that guides this gently across the palate, a calm, gliding precision to the flavours leading to a fine and persistent finish. Cool citrus pulp and touches of fine beurre. A very fine Puligny village vineyard towards the top of the slope on the north side of the village, just underneath Les Perrières, here there is a predominance of limestone. Les Nosroyes is a well-drained vineyard that typically yields finely etched but ripe-fruited wines with a chalky finish.

The 2023 Puligny-Montrachet Les Nosroyes was showing some reduction on the nose, maybe too much for my liking. The palate is well balanced with a little more weight than the Levrons, though it doesn't quite deliver the same finesse on the finish. Give it a year in bottle.
