Beaune, Clos des Mouches, Rouge, 1er Cru, 2024
justerini & brooks tasting note
A wine of relative density in 2024, with bittersweet hedgerow fruit, ripe tannins and salty-earthy minerality. Notes of dried flowers, tobacco and fractured rock dot the finish. Long, sapid and with noticeable extra gears. Very Clos des Mouches.

The 2024 Beaune Clos des Mouches Rouge 1er Cru has a touch of forest floor and brambly red fruit on the nose, a little more pepperiness from the whole bunch (30%). The palate is medium-bodied with quite fine tannins, the whole bunch dictating the finish at the moment with a persistency that is very impressive.
