Leflaive
Bienvenues Bâtard Montrachet, Grand Cru, 2008
justerini & brooks tasting note
An old vine parcel planted in 1959, the oldest at the domaine, this is very sensual and smooth, creamy golden fruit flavours of peach and yellow plum, floral violet notes and a fine acidity.

The 2008 Bienvenue-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a lively saline, almost seaweed scented bouquet that is precise and intense. The palate is fresh and lively, perhaps just missing a little weight, but there is a sense of elegance and refinement here, traces of lime and quince enlivening the persistent finish. Excellent. Tasted at La Paulée in Beaune.
