Nutty and with a gentle freshness that points to crisp apply fruit, lemons and limes. A hint of butter gives this a pliability and fluidity, the nuttiness adds richness and dimension whilst a citrus and mineral element ensures this is digest enough to tempt you to another glass. Two thirds aged and fermented in wooden foudres, the rest in tank. From the sub-zone of Milly where the wines tend to be very mineral and taut, this is Lafon’s highest Mâcon vineyard at an altitude of 350 metres.
