A jump up in sophistication from the estate's vivacious Aligote, this is both silky and zesty. Whilst there is a gentle, melting texture and hint of yellow fruit and nut richness, there is a wonderful pin-point lime fruit acidity threading all of the elements together - keeping this fresh and linear in shape. A tiny parcel of Bourgogne Chardonnay within the Volnay commune.

The 2022 Bourgogne Chardonnay is exactly the same on the nose as the bottle tasted the previous October. The palate has that welcome tang of orange rind, perhaps just a tad more acidity than before, satisfying in terms of length. Fine.
