Bourgogne, Côte d'Or, Rouge, Cuvée Etienne Camuzet, 2019
Rich, glossy dark fruit, voluptuous and silky. Easy and engaging notes of plums, bramble and plum liqueur. Generous, if not complex, with a lovely touch of Vosne silk.

Aromas of cherries, spices and rich soil tones introduce the 2019 Bourgogne Cote d'Or Pinot Noir, a medium-bodied, supple and charming wine that's lively and expressive, with succulent acids and a pretty core of fragrant fruit. This lovely wine was produced from domaine-grown grapes.
The 2019 Bourgogne Côte d’Or "Cuvée Etienne Camuzet" is under the domaine branch of Méo-Camuzet, though there is also a négoce cuvée under Méo-Camuzet Frère & Soeur. This is because Jean-Nicolas Méo found more finesse in a selection of their own small parcels, especially in Pommard, and elected to bottle these separately. This has a focused and delineated bouquet that, as Méo mentioned, does offer a distinct clarity of fruit. The palate is well balanced with pretty raspberry and dark cherry scents, and quite compact, especially toward the finish, but there is commendable density. Give it 12–18 months once bottled.
