Méo Camuzet
Hautes Côtes De Nuits, Blanc, Clos Philibert, 2019
justerini & brooks tasting note
Ripe nectarine fruits crispened by a citrus rind freshness and a savoury dry stone note. Expressive, rich and fruity with a good zest to it. A well placed Clos on poor soils sitting in the hills above Echezeaux, facing east / south east. Fermented in barrel and then aged in a mixture of barrel and steel tank.

The 2019 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Blanc Clos St. Philibert came from vat and had been recently racked and unfined. It offers pretty honeysuckle and orange blossom scents on the nose. The palate is well balanced with sour lemon on the entry, moderate depth and a pleasant saline finish. Fine.
