Hautes Côtes De Nuits, Blanc, Clos Philibert, 2022

2024 - 2028justerini & brooks tasting note
Creamy limey and racy on entry, then smooth textured with zippy acidity and a touch of blanched almond over caressing stone fruit and peach kernel. Habitually one of the last vineyards to be harvested. A well-placed Clos of poor soils sitting in the hills above Echezeaux, facing east/South-East. Fermented in barrel and then aged in a mixture of barrel and steel tank.

The 2022 Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Blanc Clos St. Philibert underwent some clarification with bentonite. It has a light apple blossom bouquet with touches of orange pith. The palate is fresh with crisp green apples, a citric thread of acidity (pH is 3.24), with pleasant bite on the finish. Enjoy this over the next three or four years.
