Méo Camuzet
Vosne Romanée, 2017
justerini & brooks tasting note
Quite a dense Vosne, velvety deep and complex. Dark briar and bramble fruit with a nice raspberry acidity. A lot of stuffing and complexity for a Vosne villages, impressive. A blend of two parcels, Les Barreaux and Les Communes with vines up to 50 years-old. Ageing is in a 40% new oak barriques.

The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Village, one of the only crus to experience decreased yields compared to 2016, has an attractive and very floral bouquet that could only come from this appellation. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and a fine bead of acidity, and a little compact at the moment, although I feel it will gain some flesh by the time of bottling.
