More richness than the Bourgogne, but typically crunchy and with a tannic bite. There is a twist-of-lime-fruit to add to the crushed rock minerality on the finish. Pitangerets is a cooler vineyard with slightly poorer soils than the Charmois producing firmer, more savoury wines.
