Chassagne-Montrachet, Les Vergers, 1er Cru, 2014
justerini & brooks tasting note
On the Puligny side of the appellation, just above Chenevottes. Precise and elegant flavours that lean towards the fine citrus end of the spectrum. Very fluid, the shape and texture of this is just lovely as fine cream notes meet gently gripping extract. A most Puligny like Chassagne. No hard edges here, just sleekly propelled fruit.

Bright, pale yellow-green. Discreet aromas of lime oil and peach accented by a minty topnote. Densely packed and silky on entry, showing strong citrussy lift and a lovely grain, then clamps down rather dramatically on the finish, leaving a backward impression like the Maltroie.
