Pommard, Les Rugiens Bas, 1er Cru, 2023

Typically Rugienesque notes of irony minerals and blood orange, with a backbone of firm tannin but a sleek fruit set above it. Plenty of drive and energy here. Very complete. Pierre Vincent’s parcels is part of the great Rugiens Bas, a contender for the finest vineyard in Pommard and a source of long-lived wines of real stature.
