Robert Chevillon
Bourgogne, Rouge, 2023
justerini & brooks tasting note
A wave of crisp raspberry and black cherry fruit buoyed up with an impressive sense of vibrant freshness. A thoroughly juicy and moreish Bourgogne with clear-eyed fruit and a refreshing acid/tannin balance. Really rather good. A truly lovely Bourgogne that hails from a single parcel in Nuits.

The 2023 Bourgogne Rouge is actually fresher on the nose than the Village Cru, with black cherries and light licorice scents. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins, but there is decent freshness here with a slightly pinched finish. It should give four or five years' drinking pleasure.
