Robert Chevillon
Nuits-Saint-Georges, Les Bousselots, 1er Cru, 2024
justerini & brooks tasting note
A deeper fruit set - still velvety, but darker and sweeter with notes of blackberry and cassia, mint and plum-skin. Virile and clearly Nuits in style, but with surprisingly fine tannins. Like Chaignots, this is on the Vosne side of the appellation, but is an entirely different beast. hailing from richer soils.

The 2024 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Bousselottes 1er Cru has an endearing bouquet with pure red cherry and pomegranate scents on the nose, pretty and delineated. The palate is silky smooth on the entry, very refined, cohesive and quite mineral-driven towards the poised finish. I did not quite get the 2023 Bousselottes last year but this is pure class.
