A wonderfully sophisticated Nuits. Floral notes, sleek red and black fruits, polished rather than gripping minerality, and supple yet firm tannins. An absolute beauty from start to finish. An exemplary, stony vineyard situated mid slope next to Les St Georges, Chevillon's is a fine parcel of 80-year-old vines, the oldest vines on the estate.

The 2022 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Cailles is serious and concentrated, unfurling in the glass with aromas of raspberries and plums mingled with orange zest, peonies and sweet spices. Medium to full-bodied, supple and seamless, with a deep and layered core of fruit, refined tannins and a resonant finish, it's a terrific wine in the making.
The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Cailles 1er Cru has a bold and forthright bouquet with black cherries, black plum, crushed violet and just a touch of fig. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannins and gentle grip. It is fresher on the finish than the Les Pruliers, with fine tension and length. This is very promising - the terroir shows through beautifully.
