A little more upright with red cherry and flowers and some wild strawberry in the mix. A core of stony minerality acts like a corset. The elements are tightly woven together, but there’s a real sense of luminous fruit through the stones. A firmness that will dissolve with time to give a wine of poise and taut minerality. From the poor stony soils of Perrières, this is a Nuits that often produces wines in the classic mould, robust, but streamlined and mineral.

The 2021 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Perrieres is beautiful, unwinding in the glass with aromas of sweet red berries, orange zest, peonies and raw cocoa. Medium to full-bodied, bright and vibrant, it's a pure, precise, mineral wine that lives up to its climat's name.
