justerini & brooks tasting note

Wonderful gras, richness with a salty minerally edge, too; voluminous but crisp, long, ripe, buttery fruit flavours, faint hints of nut and vanilla, finishing on touches of stone and steel; impressively well balanced. Vaulorent is a special and little known Premier Cru vineyard that is an extension of the band of Grands Crus that sit proudly above the town of Chablis.

critic reviews

88/100Neal Martin,Vinous

The 2010 Chablis Vaulorent 1er Cru from William Fevre has a zen-like bouquet, very taut, with citrus peel and light Granny Smith apple scents, though it lacks the charm and personality of the Tête de Murgers from Javillier tasted alongside. The fresh palate delivers lip-smacking salinity, though I would have preferred more persistence on the finish. Good, but not great. Tasted at Hatched restaurant in London.
