The 2022 base Les Parcelles offers a gentle roundness of golden and fresh red fruits, cut through with a fine chalky freshness. An 80/20 blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, this is a fabulously open Champagne and a great calling card for the estate. Bouzy, along with neighbouring Ambonnay, is famed for the quality of its Pinot Noir. Here the well exposed, south facing slopes of the Montagne de Reims provide the Paillard brothers’ old vine parcels ample opportunity to achieve full ripeness and genuine Pinot Noir character without sacrificing precision or freshness.
