Thibaud Boudignon
Anjou Blanc Sec, 2024
justerini & brooks tasting note
Sourced from shallow grey schist and rhyolite soils on the left bank of the Loire, from vines averaging 40 years of age, this cuvée is composed of equal parts estate and purchased fruit. Fermented and raised in barrel and demi-muid, with a small proportion of new oak. The 2024 is powdery and fine in texture, with notes of lemon zest, green apple and pale stone fruit. Subtle oak adds roundness and creamy texture. A great introduction to the Boudignon range.
