Châteauneuf du Pape, Signature, 2016

Lushly-fruited, round and generous with a saline twist and fresh red fruit character adding definition and structure. Silky, floral and complex, seamless ripe red berry and sweet Victoria plum fruit, overlaying notes of liquorice spice, sap and earth. A very accomplished and stylish Chateauneuf. A thoroughbred. A blend of 14 parcels, mainly old vines Grenache, with 20% Mourvedre and the balance made up of Syrah and Cinsault. Aged in large old wooden casks.
