Kondringer, Alte Burg, Spätburgunder, 2018

A spicy, peppery lightly smoky nose that slowly parts to reveal a real florality and prettiness below. On the palate this is a nimble, lively and high wire Pinot, very much at the red fruit end of the spectrum with alpine strawberry and fresh rose flavours and a fine minerality. The Hubers have vinified this plot for 8 years and in 2018, couldn't ignore its presence and individual character. Delicacy and detail abound.
