Tea and ripe fruits, herbs and rocks, intense and vivid, fresh on the palate, yellow in the middle with elegance too, the GG has an extra edge of extract/grip on the finish that will relax and support its ageing over time. At 2g/l residual sugar it is bone dry with an acid level touching 9g/l, making for a very pure style. The GG comes from the highest, steepest, stoniest part of the vineyard where the roots are closest to the bedrock – about 100m above the river line. Planted in 1902, this too is the product of ungrafted vines. Fermented and aged in traditional fuder barrels.
