Concentrated and delicious with more botrytis evident on account of its tropical fruits and richness, both of which are offset by an extra level of extract and slate-grip crunch in the wine as it opens. Persistent and powerful with impressive acidity and cleansing freshness. Superb.

The 2025 Riesling Graacher Himmelreich Auslese Goldkapsel tenderly offers smokiness and candied lemon zest. Peachiness, the roundedness of juicy stone fruit, joins on the palate but is framed with that candied lemon peel brightness that is as alluring as it is mouthwatering, always carrying something of the salty slate. This has intensity and concentration, but it is worn lightly, gracefully, tenderly with such a supple, bright, smooth finish. (Sweet)
