Wehlener Sonnenuhr, Riesling, Auslese, Goldkap, 2019

A magnificent Goldcap, incredibly pure and effortless, with a wonderfully compelling nose that is both fresh and complex, with grassy notes, honey, red fruits and fresh mango, then slate. The palate has a good deal more concentration than the Himmelreich, with wild red fruits, rose, fresh apricot and lemon zest. Measured and long, with invisible breams of freshness that allow the ripe, glorious medley of fruit to verily trip across the palate, staining it with golden sunshine along the way.
