The Zeltinger Sonnenuhr represents a step up in exuberance. With a touch of botrytis, it shows a riper mango influence with Seville orange and whipped cream. Citrus led on the palate on to a long smooth finish, Auslese is the highest Pradikat from Zeltinger this year.

The 2023 Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Auslese is clear, deep, intense and fresh on the complex and still reductive nose. Rich and lush on the concentrated palate, this is a dense and savory, textured and rich Auslese with saline grip and good tension, but it's currently pretty closed and not really singing, even with a certain astringency (from a second bottle). 8% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine from AP 10 24 in January 2025.
