The 2024 Goldtropfchen GG Piesport Riesling shows a classic Mosel nose and opens wonderfully floral and light-toned, with spring fragrance, light stone fruit, a hint of smoke and herbal and salty notes. Round and juicy, delicate and salty on the palate, with clear peach fruit, this is a salty-stimulating Riesling with beautiful intensity. Even though the 2024 is perhaps a little sweet on the finish, it remains a classic Piesport Riesling cru. Tasted at the Vorpremiere VDP.Grosses Gewachs in Wiesbaden, August 2025.
The 2024 Riesling Piesporter Goldtröpfchen Grosses Gewächs is shy on the nose. It offers the juiciness of ripe red apple on the palate, with a lovely tartness. The gorgeous, peppery backdrop is smooth and exciting at once. The body is slender with elegant flow. (Dry)
