Busy fruits, more tropical and fruitier on the nose; riper citrus; orange and grapefruit with salts and basil leaf. Initially masked by spontaneous reduction, time in the glass reveals a concentrated, medium-bodied Riesling with an extra kick of ripeness. It should age nicely.

The 2025 Riesling Piesporter Goldtröpfchen Grosses Gewächs for now hides behind slight reduction and flintiness. Beautiful tautness on the svelte palate immediately shows the exquisite stoniness and tension. Lovely slate savor is almost naked and presents lemony verve. This needs time but shows such a sinuous, sleek nature. Wow. (Bone-dry)
