The Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett has a classy, fractured slate-stone profile with fine earth, ripe fruits, essential oils, lemongrass and event hints of caraway and white pepper. A measured, very fine and enticing Kabinett.

The 2023 Riesling Wehlener Sonnenuhr Kabinett starts subtly on the nose, restrained and shy, but more air brings a touch of wet slate. The palate tells a different story, where stone and wonderfully white peach fruitiness unite in a creamy, light-footed flow. There's much drive and energy, but it comes with an encompassing smoothness rather than a full-frontal attack. Incredibly charming, understated and just so disarming. Simply lovely and pure.
