justerini & brooks tasting note

Measured, creamy floral notes, a lick of honey with violet, jasmine tea, some guava and citrus, the Herrenberg Spätlese is medium in body with a pleasant, rounded mouthfeel and long, tasty finish. It can be broached on the earlier side and will deliver oodles of pleasure.

critic reviews

94/100Anne Krebiehl,Vinous

The 2022 Riesling Maximin Grünhäuser Herrenberg Spätlese has a vivid nose of pale Mirabelle, ripe lemon, and an overtone of passion fruit. The palate dives into lemon-edged peach, tingling with zestiness and more of that passion fruit tartness. This is sharp and precise, shimmering with pepper and showing nuance upon nuance of fruit. The finish is lip-smacking and vivid. Very fine with restrained sweetness. (Sweet)
