Dellchen is typically a highly animated GG, combining crystalline pink and citrus fruits with salinity and light florality. Dellchen is the rare vineyard that combines two entirely different soil types, with up to 2m of slate over volcanic bedrock, on a steep 70% gradient. Picked in micro plots and raised in a combination of traditional German fuder and stainless steel.

The 2025 Riesling Norheimer Dellchen Grosses Gewächs is a site that mixes shale with porphyry on terraces with excellent water availability. The nose trembles with reduction and scent, with citrus and flint. Stony clarity, beautiful poise and utter linearity make this a svelte dynamo of stone and ripe lemon, gaining speed and trailing juiciness and zest. All about this pushes forward with lively, energetic lemon and stone force. Simply wonderful and so deliciously bracing. (Bone-dry)
