Oberhäuser Brücke, Riesling, Spätlese, 2025
A bit shyer initially, the Brucke Spätlese is full of fresh fruits and crumbled slates, slender and sparkly with crystalline berries and a cool fresh finish, complex and filigreed. Brucke is one of Dönnhoff’s coolest sites, a low vineyard close to the river which excels at Spätlese level and occasionally produces a scintillating Eiswein.

The 2025 Riesling Oberhäuser Brücke Spätlese combines sandstone, shale, volcanic stones and loess. This elevated site has the highest day-night amplitude of the estate. The citrus peel savor of green orange is tender, subtle. On the palate, the purity, brilliance and precision of the fruit come through, namely yellow peach framed with vivid grapefruit ripeness. Supple sweetness fills the mouth but holds immense freshness, pervaded by zestiness and verve. (Medium)
