The Halenberg has distinctive blue slate / quartzite soils and is incredibly steep, yielding wines of great minerality, firmness and longevity Frank Schoenleber finished his harvest the 17th October, a week later there was rain. The grapes came into the winery were in perfect healty, ripe, concentrated and very clean. The Dry wines are intense and big "like 2009" Frank says adding that "conditions was also perfect for very pure late harvest wines."
