Okonomierat Rebholz
Ganzhorn, Riesling, Grosses Gewächs, 2020
justerini & brooks tasting note
The gravel soils of Granzhorn produce wines with incredible clarity, “like a diamond” Valentin Rebholz remarked. Smelling like fine stones, this seems to have more energy and lift than the Kastanianbusch, with shimmering delicate minerality on the finish. Long and very fine; finesse and detail abound, animated, lifted, long weightless flavours that run from the citrus to the almost sparkly minerality. Terrific salinity and intensity without heft. A top drawer GG.
