
Auf dem Haun, Spätburgunder, 2022
The 2022 has a more composed and less nervy feel than the 2021, with a finer quality of ripe tannins, meeting dark fruits and underbrush, with real lift and vibrancy – Adams believe the extra hang time in this windier, cooler site gives them an extra level of resolve. The limestone is felt keenly on the palate. Simone Adams owns about one hectare here. From a west-facing site, the wine is fermented with 100% whole clusters and raised for 18 months in used Burgundian barrique.

The 2022 Auf dem Haun Spatburgunder is pure and intense on the nose, with fresh-cut grass, earthy and escargot aromas. Full-bodied, fresh and juicy on the palate, this is a pure yet intense, saline and stimulating Pinot with a long and intense finish. 13% stated alcohol. Diam cork. Tasted at the domaine in February 2025.
