The 2020 Riesling trocken C.O. Steinlinden Liquid Earth comes from the rockiest and stoniest limestone plots in the Zellertal valley, a lieu-dit named Steinlinden that is located between Frauenberg and Schwarzer Herrgott in the northeast of Molsheim, Rheinhessen. The fragrant nose is deep, intense and floral and stony rather than fruity, showing a first maturity after five years, with lemony notes. The wine is round and quite soft on the palate, driven by fine mineral tension. It reveals a good finish that is elegant and savory. 12% stated alcohol. Diam 10 cork. Tasted in September 2025.
