Gruner Veltliner, Alto Adige, Valle Isarco, 2021

Clear-cut primary notes of citrus, pear and apples with a touch of mint and pepper on the finish, the Gruner Veltliner exhibits more volume than some of its stablemates but would nevertheless sit a slender example of the variety were it to come from neighbouring Austria. Yellow fruits, spices and honey grace a pleasant, open finish that will provide oodles of pleasure in the early-going. From vineyards planted between 600-670m above sea level and raised in large casks for 6 months.
