Kerner, Alto Adige, Valle Isarco, 2021
Vibrant grapefruits, pineapples and white peaches leap forth from the Kerner, betraying a beautifully fruity personality glittering with red flowers, spices and essential oils. Somewhere between medium and full bodied, its buoyancy is maintained by a really fresh core of acidity and just a hint of fashionable reduction, leaving the palate clean and enlivened – a joyful glass of sunshine and fruits. Raised in a combination of stainless steel and large casks on the lees.
critic reviews
Here's a pretty white that has not been reviewed in a while. The Pacher Hof 2021 Alto Adige Valle Isarco Kerner shows a bright personality with tropical flower, wild sage, crushed stone, tea leaf and green melon. There are distant hints of petrol or smoke that offer a loose indication of where this wine is headed as it continues its bottle evolution. I love its tight impact on the senses. Production is a generous 40,000 bottles.
