Tenuta Pacher Hof
Pinot Grigio, Alto Adige, Valle Isarco, 2021
justerini & brooks tasting note
A genuinely characterful example of the variety, with soft stone fruits, citrus and herbs lifted by a touch of smoke and flinty reduction, some pithy apples and a racy, crisp beam of acidity. A really lovely Pinot Grigio that exemplifies the unique profile of whites in this region. Raised in large cask for six months.

The Pacher Hof 2021 Alto Adige Valle Isarco Pinot Grigio presents a firm personality that opens slowly in the glass to move past a reductive stage. With a little time in the glass, the wine reveals quince, lychee fruit, underripe apple and green papaya. This is a beautiful effort with streamlined elegance and long flavors. It ages in large oak casks for six months, and 12,000 bottles were released.
