The 2022 Greco di Tufo Vigna Cicogna is a seductress, rich and opulent at times yet always refined. It blends peach preserves and lemon custard with confectionary spice. The 2022 sweeps across the palate with textures of pure silk, ushering in ripe green melon and apricot underscored by salty minerals. Youthfully tense yet mouth-watering, the 2022 tapers off remarkably fresh and dramatically long. Wow!
This historic estate is located in the town of Tufo and consistently offers an excellent interpretation of the white-wine appellation that bears the town's name. Opening to medium golden saturation, the Benito Ferrara 2022 Greco di Tufo Vigna Cicogna delivers good intensity with a pronounced mineral side that is contrasted against sweet peach and apple. Those flavors are neatly capped by fresh acidity on the close. Winemaking sees stainless steel only, and 26,000 bottles were made.
