Fratelli Brovia
Barolo, Garblèt Sue, 2022
justerini & brooks tasting note
Garblet Sue has a more front-loaded profile, balancing rich red fruits, with iron-rich spice and balsamic notes with deeper plums and cherry. The vineyard is officially called Altenasso in the current MGA classification, a lower Castiglione Falletto site with high fertility soils and a red/ferrous influence.
critic reviews
93/100Antonio Galloni,Vinous
The 2022 Barolo Garblèt Sue' is a super-elegant wine. Aromatic and vibrant, the 2022 shows the sinewy tension that is so typical of this site. Dried cherry, mint, iron, dried herbs and crushed autumn leaves are all sculpted in the glass. The balance of fruit, tannin and overall structure is just masterful, especially within the context of the year.
