critic reviews
Stepping up in structure and intensity compared to the Costa Russi, the Gaja 2022 Barbaresco Sori Tildin exhibits broad shoulders and depth. It delivers a dark fruit character surrounded by hints of campfire ash and crushed mineral. There is always a vein of ferrous mineral in this wine, and you definitely get it in this vintage. It comes with pretty background aromas of sambuca, aniseed and spicy ginger. The tannins are superbly managed to offer finesse and firmness.
