Barbaresco, Rombone, 2020
Great, jewel-like fruits, the Rombone 2020 is so pretty and floral awash with bewitching small berries and flowers, heather and red cherries, with a fine tannic backbone – great vitality and energy. It has a cleansing, refreshing feel on the finish. Accomplished and detailed. A Barbaresco vineyard from the Treiso commune that sits 290 metres above sea level. The south south-west aspect ensures great sun exposure whilst the sandy clay / limestone content in the soils yield aromatic wines of grip and balance. Aged for 18 months in large old wooden cask.

The Figli Luigi Oddero 2020 Barbaresco Rombone shows a medium-intensity bouquet with dark fruit, dried cherry under spirit and lavender pastilles. It feels watery and lean in terms of mouthfeel.
