Roberto Voerzio
Barolo, Torriglione, 2020
justerini & brooks tasting note
A step change to the more open 2020 vintage, Torriglione impresses immediately for its lifted and elegantly sweet nose leading into a consistently deep palate with a wash of ripe tannins. It is bold and brooding and suave, but in context, the 2020 is actually rather drinkable in its youth and would make a very fine and impressive bottle. Aged for two years in barrique and bottled exclusively in magnums. Torriglione is located below and adjacent to Rocche dell Annunziata.
