92/100Antonio Galloni,Vinous
The estate's 1997 Brunello di Montalcino opens with a perfumed nose followed by complex nuances of red cherries, tobacco, cocoa and spices that develop in the glass. It offers great length and balance along with a resonating note of alcoholic warmth on the finish. Delicate in its personality yet supported by notable structure, it comes across as incredibly youthful considering it is nearly a decade old. Readers lucky enough to own this wine should feel no rush to drink this, as it likely has another 15 years of prime drinking ahead of it. Anticipated maturity
