In the bottle with the black label, the Monteraponi 2021 Chianti Classico Riserva Il Campitello delivers tart fruit flavors coupled by bright acidity, making this one of the freshest and brightest wines from this classic vintage. The bouquet is colored with wild fruit, forest berry, iris root and a hint of green olive. The aromas are lifted and almost carbonic in character.

The 2021 Chianti Classico Riserva Il Campitello is gorgeous, not to mention a super-classic Monteraponi wine. Bright acids cut through a core of blue/purplish fruit, lavender, spice, mint and licorice. Medium in body and translucent, with striking energy, the 2021 is a model of Radda elegance and vibrancy. This is beautifully done.
