Chardonnay, Block 6, 2016
justerini & brooks tasting note
Riper fruit aromas containing hints of white peach fruit along with our characteristic grapefruit pith; emanate gracefully from this higher elevation and steeper north facing site. Stone fruit features again and combines with a textural and mouth-coating palate to give a broad and expansive finish. Finely composed and nothing in excess, allowing articulate site expression.

The 2016 Block 6 Chardonnay has a touch more lime on the nose compared to the Block 2, featuring smoke-tinged citrus fruit laced with orange blossom and beeswax. The fresh, vibrant palate is very well balanced with a crisp line of acidity, very good tension and a sense of energy towards the finish. This just has the edge over the Block 2... for now.
