Dry River
Pinot Noir, Martinborough, 2008
justerini & brooks tasting note
A bright, deep colour with a purple hue, floral, spicy and very complex nose, touches of dried flower fresh berry fruit and smoky spice. Beautifully ripe and vivid Pinot Noir, the palate exhibits flavours of red berries, cherries, minerals and undergrowth. Beautifully elegant but not a light wine, in fact this is very intense, the tannins are present and binding but don’t dominate or jar in any way, they are sumptuous, sweet velvety. Beautifully lingering and unwaveringly pure to the long finish. Drink from 2013.
