Grande Vadio, Tinto, Bairrada, 2015
A blend of 60% Cercial and 40% Bical, whole cluster pressed and spontaneously fermented and aged in a combination stainless steel and used oak on the fine lees for six months. A distinctly coastal white which laps against the palate with waves of electrifying citrus fruits, red apples, salted nuts and oyster shells, to a fresh, reverberating conclusion.
critic reviews
The 2015 Tinto is a Baga aged for 24 months in a mixture of used French (mostly) and American barriques. It comes in at 12.5% alcohol. Elegant, lively and fresh, this is understated and lighter styledBaga is not necessarily fat and sweet at any time, to be surebut the fruit flavor is vivid. Beautifully done, its mid-palate finesse helps make this sunny red a perfect food wine. This is set for release in December.
