Encoberta, Tinto, Dao, 2018

Made in the same way as the Textura da Estrela, with 35% whole bunches and aging only in used French oak, the only difference is that Encoberta comes from a small village of the same name in the Castendo sub-region where the soils have a higher proportion of clay and quartz accompanying the granite. More forest fruits, balsamic and pine needles here – a rounder and fruitier profile overall with a very high quality of tannin and texture. 50% Jaen, 25% Alfrochiero, 15% Tinta Roriz and 10% Touriga Nacional.
